The China-Japan High-level Expert Symposiums on Intelligent Manufacturing was successfully held from November 8 to 13, 2019. The symposiums are jointly sponsored by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic China(MOST)and Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST),and organized by College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (CMEE),Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA).
More than 15 experts and scholars from Japan have been invited to attend the symposiums, which are from Tohoku University, Osaka University, Nagoya University, Keio University, Waseca University, Chiba University etc. and over 10 experts and scholars from domestic famous universities have been invited, which ae from Zhejiang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Xi`an Jiaotong University, Southeast University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of Science and Technology.
The symposiums aim to jointly explore the new theory, new method, new technology and new application from the sustainable development of intelligent manufacturing technology, and exchange the experience from both of China and Japan about implementing sustainable manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing, thereby promote the rapid development of both Chinese and Japanese technology and related disciplines.
The symposium was held at Nanjing Grand Hotel on November 10, 2020, Prof. Zhang Zhuo, Director of International Cooperation Office of NUAA hosted the opening ceremony, he expressed warm welcome to all the attendees and announced that the ceremony officially begins. Prof. Xiong Ke who is Principal Assistant of NUAA, Li Juanjuan who is Head of Division II of Foreign Experts, Department of Foreign Expert Services of MOST addressed welcome speeches to all the guests, respectively. Dr. Shan Gu who is Manager of China Research and Sakura Science Center of JST introduced the operation mechanism of JST and their support in this symposiums. The experts and scholars have discussed around three topics: green manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing system(including artificial intelligence)and intelligent processing. Moreover, the mechanism of the long-term China-Japan symposiums activities has been discussed, the arrangements for next year's symposiums has been preliminarily determined.
During the activities, the experts and scholars have visited the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, Hust-Wuxi Research Institute, and NUAA-Wuxi Research Institute, Nanjing Kangni Mechanical & Electrical Co., Ltd., Sida Power Groups Co.,Ltd., Boer (Wuxi) Power , and Suzhou National New Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone.
The symposiums provide a good exchange and communication platform for foreign experts and scholars to have a clearer understanding about the current situation of scientific research and the level of production and manufacturing in the field of intelligent manufacturing in China, laid the foundation for future China-Japanese scientific research cooperation and exchanges, and has a great significance in promoting scientific and technological innovation, educational cooperation and human exchanges in the field of intelligent manufacturing in the future.
